M. Brandon Howard
Brandon Howard is an associate attorney at Kendall | Mandell, LLC. Brandon’s practice focuses on various litigation matters, frequently championing his client’s needs at all levels of federal and state courts.
Brandon specializes in insurance litigation and, for years, he has provided defense-related advice and representation to various insurance companies throughout the nation. His experience includes analyzing policy-based coverage obligations, as well as defending and advising insurers respecting personal injury claims, business and property claims, commercial liability claims, construction claims, and bad faith litigation in both state and federal courts.
Brandon is also experienced in advising clients involving disputes arising out of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, the regulations promulgated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, RICO, and state consumer protection laws. His experience also includes taking a lead role in litigation under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and various unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices (UDAP/UDAAP) statutes. Brandon is also an experienced class action attorney.
Prior to joining Kendall | Mandell, Brandon served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Richard L. Voorhees of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. During his clerkship, Brandon counseled Judge Voorhees on civil and criminal matters before the district court and on matters presented to Judge Voorhees as he sat by designation on multiple panels of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Following his federal clerkship, Brandon gained additional experience as a defense litigation associate at two Vault 100 ranked law firms, where his federal and state practice focused on consumer financial litigation, consumer protection litigation, products liability litigation, foreign defamation lawsuits, relief for foreign nationals subject to United States sanctions, and nationwide class actions.
Brandon is licensed in the State of Georgia and is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts across Georgia, including the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, all state trial courts, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia and the Middle District of Georgia. Brandon is also admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh and Fourth Circuits.
Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law.
